Men’s Behaviour Change Program

Are you getting angry and annoyed with those you love?  Hurting your loved ones emotionally or physically? Bottling things up and then exploding? Feeling anxious, confused, or losing self-control? Concerned about the way you behave towards your partner or children? Have you received an intervention order or parenting order?

The Men’s Behaviour Change Program provides an opportunity to develop more satisfying relationships, learn non-abusive behavior, challenge old ways of thinking and acting, develop a caring respect for yourself and others, and develop responsibility for your own actions.

The program involves intensive work to enable men to accept responsibility for their choices and behavior and to handle strong emotions and conflict with understanding, confidence, and self-control.

Facilitators work to support new learning and to challenge unproductive attitudes in a climate of safety that models respectful relating. CFAW staff maintain contact with family members and invite partners and others affected by violent behavior to attend an information session and counseling.
